Originally commissioned to compliment Nicholas Grimshaw’s futuristic design for the British Pavillion at the Seville Expo 1992, the Seville bench system has since gone on to win numerous design awards including Millennium Product.
The bench is multidirectional and is therefore ideal for use in museums, on the street, transport terminals and platforms. Made entirely from aluminium it is ideal for use both indoors and outdoors and is 100% recyclable.
Designed by Rodney Kinsman RDI
SEVILLE is designed as a short sit bench, its design utilises interlocking extruded aluminium seat and beam sections. The aerofoil form of the seat evokes high speed travel combined with 21st century technology. The individual components slide onto the beam and are held into place by die cast alumnium end caps.
There are 3 standard supports allowing the bench to be floor fixed, wall mounted or free standing. All are available with or without cast aluminium armrests. Custom mounting options can be designed to fit with any railing or cladding system.
2 to 7 seat units are available as standard with only 2 legs. Longer units are available to order.
